Pastor Steve Johnson
PASTOR STEVE JOHNSON
Pastor Johnson was born in Mitchell, South Dakota and graduated from high school in Pierre South Dakota. He then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where I attended college and seminary at Oral Roberts University. It was there that he met his wonderful wife, Artie, whom he married while still at university. Upon graduation in 1984 the Johnson family moved to Arkansas where Pastor Johnson served in the Calico Rock Charge, Wesley Charge in Conway, and Mountain View Charge. Pastor Johnson has been pastor at First United Methodist Church in Hope Arkansas since January 2010. Pastor Johnson and Artie, his wife, have two sons, Benjamin, who works in social services and lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Luke, who is an accountant and lives with his wife in Aubrey, Texas. They also have a daughter, Carissa, who teaches in Jenks, Oklahoma. In addition they are the proud grandparents of their first grandson. Besides being with family, Pastor Johnson enjoys reading, walking the dog, watching sports and movies, and playing golf and tennis.
